I have a similar tall antique wood plant stand with an enormous potted fern plant ~ and I absolutely LOVE it!  These Victorian plant stands look so sophisticated and elegant with a large overflowing plant.  And you can place them anywhere!  I have ours in the bathroom in front of a window.  They also look stunning on a porch, kitchen or in a bedroom.  The stand is 50" tall with a 8-1/4" diameter at the top and 20-1/2" diameter at the base.    The plant stand is made of solid wood and is in very good ~ missing filigree on 2 sides at the top ~ has all the lower filigree though. It is strong, stable and sturdy ~ you can easily put a heavy piece on this. Would also have an amazing statue pedestal or candle stand.  We hand refinished this in our custom blended Cottage White paint by brush and distressed it to bring out the wonderfully warm dark wood underneath.  Shabby in looks, but this is not a shabby piece!
