IT REMAINS IN THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER BOX.   The Williams-Sonoma traditional stoneware mortar from Japan features hand-combed ridges that grind spices and other seasonings. The rustic matte-glazed vessel comes with a pestle made of polished Chinese pepperwood with its bark intact, plus a handy bamboo scraper for cleaning the mortar.
