These trees are seedlings of 'Bloodgood' Japanese Maple. We only use Bloodgood seeds to produce our Red Japanese Maple seedlings. This ensures the best color and uniformity of the seedlings. These trees are extremely popular for use as bonsai or as a landscape specimen. Fall colors are bright red. We grow these trees in greenhouses. This enables us to extend the growing season and offer you a larger than normal tree with a very nice root system. Contrary to popular belief, greenhouse grown Japanese Maple seedlings are just as hardy as outdoor grown. The pictures below are from our greenhouse. Hardy to zones 5-9. These trees are about 9 months old.
