Description
I think this is what EBay calls a Dutch Auction. I don't think you are bidding, I think you are just buying. From what I understand, since I have 21 packages to sell, 21 folks can all get a package for $40.00. I have been looking on EBAY at what other folks are selling their pecans for. 5 LBS for $32.00 plus 12.80 shipping equals $8.96 Lb. 2 LBS for $9.99 plus $5.25 shipping equals $7.62 Lb. 4 LBS for $26.05 plus $10.00 shipping equals $9.01 Lb. Mine 6 LBS for $40.00 and no shipping equals $6.66 LB. (Shipping cost me $10.00 and I included it in my price. I charge $5.00 a quart) Other folks aren't trying to make a fortune from you, but shipping is our problem The less you buy, the higher the price we have to charge. For those of you that don't need 6 quarts, these make excellent Christmas gifts. I am selling pecans from our 21 Stuart trees. My husband and I pick up the pecans and take them to the local pecan processing plant for shelling which costs us 40 cents a pound. We bring them home, go through them and pack them in quart Seal-A-Meal bags to vacuum pack for less breakage as recommended by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. I will ship 6 quart bags per box to make it easier to share with family and friends. Each bag is 1 quart or approximately 1 pound more or less. I will ship by USPS as soon as I receive payment notification from PayPal. If you like our pecans, please tell other folks about us. If you don’t like them, please let me know. Thanks for stopping by to check us out and may God Bless. Pecan Pie Recipe Ingredients 2 eggs, slightly beaten1 cup light corn syrup1/4 cup brown sugar1 Tbsp molasses2 Tbsp melted butter2 Tbsp flour1/4 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon vanilla1 1/4 cups pecans, coarsely chopped 1 9-inch pie shell, chilled for an hour if freshly made, defrosted for 10 minutes if frozen. (See pie crust recipes.) Method 1 Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread pecans along the bottom of the pie shell. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over pecans. The pecans will rise to the surface of the pie. 2 Bake at 375°F for 45-50 minutes until the filling has set. About 20 minutes into the cooking you may want to use a pie crust protector, or tent the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil to prevent the pie crust edges from burning. 3 Remove from oven and let cool completely. Serves 8. On Nov-23-08 at 04:13:00 PST, seller added the following information: Order Early so your Pecans will arrive on time for your Christmas baking.
