You are bidding on this unusual, antique, fox head and riding crop ( whip ) brass doorstop ( door stop ) shown..I quess its a fox hunt doorstop.. Made from brass and iron...Nice form...Notice the teeth showing.. It has a piece of felt on the back side.  Size, its over 14" high, but it should be a little higher because its bent at the top where the crop forms into a handle., The fox head is 4-1/2" wide, and about 5-1/2" long from the flat back to the end of its nose. . This is a heavy doorstop, it weights almost 11 pounds. Under the fox is a horse hoof shape made of solid iron. The riding crop is attached to the head, but its lose at that point and needs to be tightened up.. I think that there is a nut and bolt that holds the crop to the head, and the nut must need to be tightened. I can't really tell because of the felt backing piece..As for the top, that could be heated and bent back into place by a metalsmith, Its not a big problem.
