Unfortunately, I have no definitive idea of the date/age/make of these Andirons. I truly know nothing about these. I wish I did. Please see the photos below for the details on these andirons. The fronts are brass with the rear/legs being cast iron. This pair is quite heavy! What I do know is that these came out of the Governor Bickett Home in Louisburg, North Carolina. Given to me by the current owner, they just don't match the interior of our home. All sturdy. To me, they are typical in style of the18th/19th century but I would date them mid-20th century if pressed. The shaft is seamed, the feet are cast and the original wrought iron shaft is intact. Everything appears to be original, but you be the judge by the photos I've attached.
