We have been building stands and canopies for over 27 years. All our stands and canopies are made from top quality lumber; all our products are made from 3/4” stock, all our stock stands and canopies are made from Oak. Other Woods are also available. We use hidden European hinges on all our doors. All of our stands are designed and braced to hold all the weight that you may want to put into your aquarium. Canopy  All our canopies, like our stands, are made of solid 3/4” stock. Our canopies feature a front access and lift up lid for total access to the aquarium and lighting. All our canopies are 15” high which give plenty of room for high output lighting. The back is totally open for plenty of air flow; fans can also be installed into the solid 3/4” sides of the canopy if needed. The front frame is made of solid 3/4" stock and the left and right sides screw to the back side of the frame, which a top and back brace will screw to the back edge of the sides. The canopy has aquarium strips screwed to the inside, which will allow the canopy to sit 1 1/2” over the top edge of the aquarium.     24 x 48 Unfinished Oak Aquarium Canopy   This canopy is for an 24 x 48 Aquarium and is made of all wood oak. The canopy will sit on top of the aquarium and will have 1 1/2” overlap, which will cover any banding that you might have on the aquarium. The canopy will sit on a maximum area of 24 3/4” x 48 3/4”. This canopy is 15” high and has 2 wide front access doors for easy access to aquarium, with a full 3/4” thick lift up lid for easy access to the aquarium and lighting. The back of the canopy is totally open, so having overflow filters or piping of any kind is not a problem, and also makes for good air flow.
