We have been building stands and canopies for over 27 years. All our stands and canopies are made from top quality lumber; all our products are made from 3/4” stock, all our stock stands and canopies are made from Oak. Other Woods are also available. We use hidden European hinges on all our doors. All of our stands are designed and braced to hold all the weight that you may want to put into your aquarium.   Stands  All our stands are designed to hold more weight then what your aquarium is made for, no matter what size. Each stand has a four sided floor frame made of 3/4” oak stock, which sets totally on the full area where the aquarium and stand will be placed. Each stand has a 3/4" bottom shelf, which will screw to the floor frame to hold all of your equipment and aquarium supplies. The sides of the stand go all the way down to the floor and are screw to the floor frame. There are two cross braces which go from side to side, that are mounted on the front and back of the stand that screw to each cabinet side. The front and back braces are screwed to the bottom shelf, the left and right sides and the front and back cross braces. This stand is designed to fit any filter system that you may have. A  3/4" top that covers the entire top of the stand will screw to the left and right sides, the front and back braces, all of this will give the stand a total screwed and locked together support, which makes this the strongest stand on the market, and will give total support for the aquarium. There is a 3 1/2” wide trim that screws around the two sides and front of the stand, which will cover 1 1/2" of the bottom of the aquarium. The doors on the stand are wide enough to give plenty of access to the inside of the stand. The trim around the top of the stand extends 1 1/2” above the area that the aquarium sits on so to cover any banding that you might have on your aquarium.
