Description
Hi! I'm Garvin Foote and I am an artist who works in Bronze Metal. This is one of my newest bronze sculptures and it is called "Free Ride!" It's a wonderful piece and paints a fun picture of a dachshund, Oscar, flying through the air with his friend Freddy the frog catching a ride atop his head. This piece is special because it is functional art. The dog sculpture fits into any 10 inch wide flower pot and makes an awesome garden piece. It can be placed in doors or out and will definitely put a smile on your face. It is #3 of 30 and comes with a certificate of authenticity stamped and signed by the artist. This piece will certainly get attention and will keep its color for many, many years to come! The dog has a wonderful red colored patina and looks very much like the true color of a dachshund. The frog is done with a dark green patina and looks great atop the dog's head. The dog is having so much fun running with the frog that he doesn't care that he is running right over the flowers. The sculpture weighs about 45lbs and is roughly 19 inches high and 22 inches long. If you are not happy with the sculpture for any reason, please return it within 7 days for a 100% refund. Thank you very much for looking at my work and if you have any questions please, please email me. Check out the other sculptures I am currently selling on eBay. Have a great day! Garvin ARTIST STATEMENT: Creating art is my passion. Whether it is in two dimensions or 3 dimensions, for me it's about the reaction people have to my work. The ability to communicate my thoughts through a variety of mediums and seeing people respond in a positive way, makes all the hard work worth it in the end. Making great artwork and exceeding expectations is truly gratifying. I have been a sculptor for the past ten years and lately I have been focusing on the funny, lighter side of life. All my bronze sculptures are done with the lost wax casting process which I mold and cast myself. This process has been around for thousands of years and really has not changed much. Many of the same principles and techniques are used today and it is exciting to be apart of something with so much history. I truly love to work with bronze. It's allure, strength and lasting beauty make it a wonderful medium to work with and allows the artist to tell their stories for many lifetimes to come. If you would like to commission me to sculpt a special work of art for you or if you have any questions, please contact me.
