The pepper mill was made in Denmark and has the earliest type of the metal grinding mechanism made by "Peugeot Freres Lion", France with lion and arrow. This peppermill is made of beautifully grained siamese teak (or possibly Cocobolo exotic wood because of it's weight and grain pattern) with a natural finish and is in excellent, used, working, all original condition. The top salt shaker has 6 holes and a small removable screwed on plastic plug. The bottom of the peppermill grinds peppercorns and has the earliest embossed logo "DANMARK". The peppermill is 10 1/4" (30 cm) tall, has a few dings to the wood here and there but nothing major (please view the photos) and still retains a nice original patina. This piece is very clean, and comes from smoke free environment and would be a perfect addition to any of mid-century, Eames style collection! If you have any questions, please email us.
