Description
Ebb & Gro Multi-Pot Hydroponic System The versatile 12-site Ebb & Gro System allows different size and shape configurations to fit your exact growing needs. For easy set-up, the interchangeable two-gallon grow pots connect to the controller unit and the controller unit connects to the 55-gallon reservoir. Ebb and flow system floods and drains planters several times a day. System includes necessary tubing and pumps, features a built-in timer, and all components fit into the reservoir for convenient transportation and storage. Optional six-site Ebb & Gro expansion kit also available. Weight 60 lbs The system works by connecting all of the grow pots to the controller unit. All necessary tubing is included with the systems. You set the timer to fill and drain the pots about 3 or 4 times a day. When the fill and drain cycle that you set comes on, it turns on the pump in the large reservoir (the 55 gallon drum), and starts filling the controller unit. Since the grow pots are all plumbed to the controller unit, the water in the entire system starts to level off with the controller unit. When the pots are full, and your drain cycle starts, the pump in the controller unit pumps all of the water back into the reservoir. When the level of the water in the controller unit goes down, all of the grow pot levels go down as well. The controller unit waits for the next fill and drain cycle a few hours later. The grow pots are 2 gallons and are filled with grow rocks. Each grow pot consists of 2 pots nested inside each other, the inner pot has several holes in the bottom to allow the water to enter the grow rocks and the root zone. This will allow you to be able to pick up the inner pot and move the plants from one site to another on the system. This will allow for even plant growth even at the edges of your garden, where the plants don't get as much light! Since your pumps are only pumping a short time each day, the system is extremely reliable. Your plants have 2 gallons of space in which to have root growth, so the size of your plants is not an issue. If they get larger than you anticipated, you can space the grow pots further apart. The the plants can be as close as 10" apart, so they can be packed into a small area if you desire. Versatility is what you get with this system.Additional grow pots can be added at a later time. Each 6 pot add-on includes all of the tubing and fittings needed. You will need one 50 liter bag of Hydroton grow rocks. We will NOT be able to send this internationally, unfortunately. Are You Prepared? Dwindling food supplies, soaring food prices and astronomical gas prices are upon us. Populations are increasing and farmlands are being consumed by urban growth at record rates. Are you prepared to feed your family when you can't find the food you need at your local store? What if the food you find is beyond your financial reach? Do you have food insurance? What can you do? You can insure your family's food future. You can provide fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and even flowers for your family. They will be organic and clean, free of pesticides and pests. You can harvest them year round, not just once a year. You will have enough to can, freeze, dry or even donate to those less fortunate than you. All the while your family will be well fed and have all the vitamins, nutrition and minerals they will need. You can grow your food supply indoors by means of hydroponics. It isn't too late to begin. No matter where you live, from Alaska to the Mojave Desert, cold or hot climate, good earth or poor soil conditions, you can grow with Hydroponics. No soil is needed and anyone can do it. It can be a family project and one that will provide your children with a means to feed their future families as well. We have to eat every day to continue to live. Why not eat the best foods you can possibly eat? No one even needs to know you have an indoor farm. It can be your private farm and food supply. You can grow your food supply in a small space or a large space. Since you control the growing environment, you no longer will have to worry about a tainted food supply. It all depends on how much you need or want. You can share your "wealth" with less fortunate people or even sell or barter your excess food. The sky is the limit. You can grow anything using Hydroponics. You can make your own ointments with your Aloe plants, grow St. John's Wort for depression treatment, basil, rosemary and oregano for cooking, every fruit or vegetable you can think of, as well as flowers of all kinds. You can even grow delicate African Violets and Orchids with Hydroponics. Soy beans can be grown for a source of protein and to make soy milk, grapes for wine-making and juice, lemons for cooking and vitamin C, and every kind of berry and tomato you can think of. Dwarf fruit trees are a wonderful choice. They are so easy to harvest. You are limited only by your imagination. Our government grew food using Hydroponics during World War II to feed our troops, but it wasn't a new idea. Ancient Egyptians tended their water gardens several hundred years B.C., as did ancient Chinese farmers. Hieroglyphics show Egyptians harvesting their foods from their floating gardens. There is no weeding, no digging and no root rot. Crops grow 50% faster than in soil. Since they are not competing for space, you can grow more in less space, and the taste and texture will be far better than any you buy. To add to the value of Hydroponic gardening, you can start plants like trees inside as seedlings to be transplanted outdoors for shade and landscaping, as well as more food. You can start out small and add on to your operation as you fine tune your skills. Anyone can do this, adults and children alike, young and old. The benefits are endless. The pride in knowing that you farmed your own food is so satisfying. To have fresh flowers in your home year round and fresh herbs to cook with are out of reach for most. This is a wonderful skill to teach your children. A Hydroponic Garden would be a great science project. We carry everything you need to start farming. You can start out with a basic system and add on to it as you gain more knowledge, or decide to grow more food. We have books and CDs with the tools you need to start insuring your family's food supply. If you don't see it, ask us. We probably sell it in our store in Orange and can make it available to you here on Ebay as well. What are you waiting for? Mr Nice Guys Hydroponics is new to Ebay, but we've been involved in hydroponic farming for years. We began buying items on Ebay and other sites, and were disappointed in quality and lack of warranties. Items would arrive broken, not working or would stop working after a short time. We decided to seek out suppliers that offered quality products with a good reputation. As a result, we opened our first store in California. We decided to sell on Ebay to provide those same quality products to our online customers. If you don't see what you need, let us know. We probably carry it in our store and can offer it on an Ebay auction for you. Mr. Nice Guys Hydroponics 2701 N. Orange Olive Road Orange, CA 92865
