Georg Jensen Blue Shark Miscellaneous pieces Start Price USD 499.99 Current Price USD 499.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, November 25, 2008 End Time Tuesday, December 02, 2008 Location Park Ridge, IL See more about 'Georg Jensen Blue Shark' Description These beauties date back to the 1970s and they were purchased at Crate and Barrel in Chicago.  Little did they know they were selling little works of art.  They are stamped Georg Jensen Stainless Denmark.  The group consists of:  1 fork, 4 soup spoons, 2 tablespoons and 4 knives.   This pattern is typically hard to find except for dinnerware replacement sites since the pattern has been discontinued nor manufactured for several decades – that’s what I’ve been told when I googled several sites on this pattern.  I have occasionally come across some pieces on eBay and when they show up, that’s a pure bonus for any buyer of Georg Jensen items.   Now, they are in used condition which means they have signs of normal wear.  If you’re looking for brand-spanking, shiny new pieces, then these are not for you and please consider this before you purchase. The pieces are in good condition considering the age.  They were tucked away for the last 20+ years.  The pieces do not have deep scratches or indentations but they do have what I would call rubbing marks (for lack of a better term) from rubbing up against one another.  The fork has one tine that looks to be a little off.  If you check out the Georg Jensen website you will see the artistry in his items and besides, they're vintage :-) Thank you for checking out these items. p.s.
