Description
Laguna Tools Pinnacle Wood Lathe - Like New!!! Barely Used! I am a custom furniture maker and don't use the lathe much. I bought this top of the line lathe thinking I might like to start doing some large bowl turning for fun....hasn't happened. I've used this lathe for maybe 4 or five small projects for a total of about 40 hours of turning total. It really is virtually brand new. The Laguna Pinnacle lathe offers the features and capacities required for the serious bowl turner to the advanced production shop. Bowl turners appreciate the ability to turn up to 48 inch diameter pieces inboard with the bridge removed. The massive 1500 lb. construction provides the stability needed to turn any size piece. Production shops realize increased profits and capabilities with the optional one-pass copy system and the optional spiral device to perform decorative twist work. The optional bed extensions provide support needed for large architectural turnings. -48” Bowl capacity with bridge removed -Centers 12" above bed -Head stock is hollow casting -Tail stock is castin -Bed is made of steel, with dovetail machining -Bed is exendable by adding extra bed pieces -Motor is 3 hp / 220 volts with electronic speed variation -The same machine also has a 4-step pulley for added torque -Head stock thread is 45 x4.5 adaptors to other common thread available -Maximum length between spindles is 52" in standard execution -In head indexing -Weight: 1500 lbs. Laguna Tools currently charges $9175 + Tax and Shipping. Buy from me and get a like new machine for thousands less! Local Pick-up or Freight. Freight charge INCLUDES Crating. Please Note: The photo of the lathe is taken from the laguna website for ease of posting. They show the lathe set-up with their duplicator in the photo, but their $9175.00 base price does not include the duplicator shown, nor does my lathe have the duplicator. Note: to answer bidder's question, You can turn stock about 22"x 48" with bridge piece removed, or about 16"x52" on the regular bed.
