Field is plaine and deep burgundy red with a larg center  medalion and elongated pendulums. The border of the carpet is a full scale Kasham style as you can see from 1st and 2nd images. The scale vertically put in the 1st image is 7ft.      For its size carpet the weaving is exquisit. All and each color fields is bordered with different colors as can be seen at 3rd image. Knot count is 144 per sq. inch. knots are very tight and rug is durable for practical use. The total weight of the carpet is about 90 pounds.    I purchased this carpet at a carpet shop in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1990 and  I kept and used it since. At that time end fringes were damaged and I had them treated and attached new ones. Also at that time the carpet was washed by the shop and it is not washed ever since.    Place a Bid!
