My preferred method of Payment is CASH or Money Order upon pickup of the item.  For sale is this LIKE NEW Scotts S2046 riding lawn mower. I purchased the tractor at Home Depot in 2000 for about $2,200.  Unfortunately due to life circumstances, I used it less then I had originally planned. Therefore, the total riding time on the tractor is about 8 hours. Since its purchase it has been stored inside. As you can see in the picture it bears the Tony Steward name and his race car number as the tractor was designed as a promotional sale for Home Depot. This promo model is a RARE find for race car fans!!! The tractor bears a badge “Made by John Deere” as it is sold under Scotts it is made by John Deere.  Power: It has has excellent overall power. The tractor has a 20 HP Briggs and Stratton engine. The transmission is an automatic so you effortlessly move between forward and reverse. There are separate accelerator pedals from each, that are on the same lever so only one can be engaged at any time. Deck width Under the deck are three small blades that handle the cutting.  The “46” in the model number indicates a 46 inch wide deck. The effective cutting width is very close to the edge of the deck lid. Adjustability The deck is easily adjustable. The large handle sets just below the seat to raise and lower the deck.  There is also a convenient cruise control lever on the right side that will engage the accelerator pedal for a comfortable ride. The deck adjusts from about 1 inch to 6 inches of clearance, leaving plenty of room to clear protruding roots or small rocks. Maneuverability The tractor is very maneuverable. It corners tight and true. Curving around trees and other obstacles easily. Maintenance It has a separate oil reservoir, the tractor only takes plain gas. No oil mixture calculations to deal with.  The battery is readily accessible under the seat, and can be jump started off your own car battery if necessary. Prior to listing this tractor I had a complete tune up done to include new battery, oil change, air filter replaced, along with a new carb. kit and cleaner. Upon purchase, receipts will be provided to show the work done.  Starts on first try every time!!  Safety This includes a sensor in the seat that cuts the engine if you lift your weight off the seat – thus cutting the engine if you fall off. You can only get off a running tractor with the blades disengaged and the emergency brake on. You cannot mow backwards without pressing a special button on the dash – encouraging you to think before you mow in reverse. You cannot engage the blades on the tractor without sitting on the seat. You cannot start the engine with the blades engaged. You cannot start the engine without the foot brake engaged. When you take your foot off the gas, the tractor stops instantly, no coasting at all.   Place a Bid!
