Description
This is an older utility trailer that is great for hauling bulk mulch, topsoil, stone, firewood or other items. The trailer bed is 4 ft wide by 7 ft long. The solid 5/8" plywood sides are 16 inches high and the height to the top rail is 38 inches above the bed. The tires are 7.00-16, 6 ply, and they are on genuine wire-wheels. The hitch takes a 2 inch ball. The trailer has a rigid frame and does not dump. I purchased this trailler used about six years ago. I have a large yard and a concrete driveway, so I didn't want dump trucks delivering bulk material, which I would then have to move again by wheel-barrow. With this trailer, I was able to go get the bulk materials (mostly stone, topsoil & mulch) machine-loaded by-the-yard, and bring it home, saving lots of delivery costs. I then transfered the hitch to my garden tractor & towed the trailer to the exact place in my yard that I needed it. Because the bed is higher (20 inches from the ground), and made of smooth steel, it is a snap to unload bulk material with a flat coal shovel. I did many landscape projects myself that would have been impossible (or back-breaking) without this handy little trailer. This trailer had some cosmetic rust when I bought it. I painted the top frame, stained the wood sides redwood, and installed a new light kit. It has been stored in my garage since I've owned it. It has fenders, but since I was only using it for short distances, I did not reinstall them. It also has a removeable metal frame to enclose the rear area above the tailgate that I did not use. This would be useful if you need to move lighter materials such as straw, etc. The rear frame, fenders, and hitch stand are all included for the next owner (see photos). The trailer is well balanced and is easily moved by hand so there is no hitch jack, but there is a place to install one if the buyer wants to add it. There is no title for this trailer. I had to get it weighed in Ohio and registered it to get plates. Concerning the condition, the bed has some small rust-through holes in the front, mostly in the left corner which are shown in the photo. When I bought this trailer, the left tire had a slow air leak that allows it to go flat in about four days. I have a small compressor, and I used the trailer so infrequently, that I chose to just inflate the tire before each use, rather than removing the wheel and taking it to have the tube repaired. I am selling it as-is with this condition. I will inflate the tire for the buyer so they can pick it up. If the buyer is planning to transport it more than 300 miles, they should stop every 300 miles or so to be sure that tire is adequately inflated. This item is for pick-up at my home in a suburb East of Cleveland, Ohio. I will also deliver it within 300 miles of Cleveland for an additional charge of $0.50 per roundtrip mile. If you want it delivered, I will need full prepayment including the calculated delivery charge. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
