Wine Rocks™   White and Brown Alabaster Three (3) Bottle   Wine Rock™     This White with Brown Pattern Three (3) Bottle Wine Rock™ is a beautiful piece with a unique sculptured shape.   Measurements from the widest point 19”t x 10”w x 4”d   Weight 23 lbs.     Alabaster from Utah, USA   From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Alabaster (sometimes called satin spar) is a name applied to varieties of two distinct minerals: gypsum (a hydrous sulfate of calcium) and calcite (a carbonate of calcium). The former is the alabaster of the present day; the latter is generally the alabaster of the ancients. Gypsum occurs in nature as flattened and often twinned crystals and transparent cleavable masses called selenite. It may also occur silky and fibrous, in which case it is commonly called satin spar. Finally it may also be granular or quite compact. In hand-sized samples, it can be anywhere from transparent to opaque. A very fine-grained white or lightly-tinted variety of gypsum is called alabaster, which is prized for ornamental work of various sorts. Occurrence Gypsum is a common mineral, with thick and extensive evaporite beds in association with sedimentary rocks. Deposits are known to occur in strata from as early as the Permian age.[3] Gypsum is deposited in lake and sea water, as well as in hot springs, from volcanic vapors, and sulfate solutions in veins. Hydrothermal anhydrite in veins is commonly hydrated to gypsum by groundwater in near surface exposures. It is often associated with the minerals halite and sulfur.   Wine Rocks™ are stone wine racks made from Alabaster, Gypsum, Sandstone, and soon to come, Marble.  Each Wine Rock™ is a unique, one of a kind piece of stone, which serves as a wine rack and functional piece of sculpture.   Wine Rocks™ and stone products may contain fossils, and/or crystals which enhance the display of these beautiful pieces in any décor.   Wine Rocks™, nature's stone wine racks, are excellent gift ideas for any holiday or special occasion, or for that person who has everything.   Wine Rocks™ are also great for display at catering events, weddings, wine events, wine sales, restaurants, or bars.   Wine Rocks™ can be chilled prior to placing your wine or items on display.  Wine Rocks™ possess the unique ability to maintain an ambient temperature.   Wine Rocks™ are also a great conversational piece.   Wine Rocks™ are versatile and can be used in the kitchen, bathroom, around the pool to hold towels, or wherever you would like to use a functional piece of sculpture.   Photos of the Wine Rocks™ and stone products are representative of the colors; the natural design on each stone wine rack may vary slightly as created by nature.   We have described the item as accurately as possible.  Please email us with any questions you may have prior to bidding or purchasing.  We will be happy to send additional photos if necessary.   Shipping Insurance is included for all stone products to ensure customer satisfaction.   Wine Rocks™ ORIGIN   Check out Wine Rocks™ other items!
