The 1.5" x 1.75" metal fencing creates perching for lots of small songbirds while preventing squirrels and larger birds from feeding. The feeder tube is made of durable polycarbonate plastic that is perfect for one quart of sunflower seed or mixed seed. The four reinforced feeder ports have individual perches. The flow-through base prevents seed from collecting, so that squirrels are not enticed to cling and feed. A clear plastic tray connected to the bottom of the feeder allows more feeding room, and has several drainage holes to prevent seed rot. The metal cap helps to prevent squirrel damage and serves to keep seed dry and fresh. The ingenious lock keeps squirrels from lifting the cap.
