NECK leather. Manufactured by deSede of Switzerland in the late 1970's/early 1980's. I purchased these from the original owner. Manufacturer's Control No.152880. Color No. 1077, medium/dark brown. Sofa 47/03: 181 cm wide x 86 to 106 cm deep x 72 cm high (72" x 34-42" x 28-1/2"). Settee/Loveseat 47/02: 139 cm wide x 86 to 106 cm deep x 72 cm high (55" x 34-42" x 28-1/2"). The seat on each piece easily pulls out to convert into a lounge depth of 106cm - 42". From manufacturer's literature: "Neck Leather: DS NECK, de Sede NECK leather comes from the largest and strongest bulls....Sofas are covered in NECK leather which require that the entire hide for each back, side and seat area is from one piece. So called skived seams form an attarctive feature where sections are joined together; these reflect the expertise of deSede's master craftsman. Lightly pigmented nappa leather, 1/2 cm thick" "The form of this highly individual model is based on the natural qualities of the neck leather used - the 5 mm-thick bullhide with its natural and quite distinctive neck folds give the product its unmistakable appearance.
