Completed in the fall of 2005, it was shipped to me as soon as it was completed. My specialty is in high end Persian rugs and if you look at my other rugs, you will notice that I only offer high quality pieces like this Tabriz rug. It is currently my last 10x13 Tabriz rug and the design is also very popular with my clients. This geometric pattern is called "Heriz" and is named after the tribal Heriz rugs, that are made in the region outside of Tabriz. One of the reasons that Tabriz rugs are so popular is that they will often use other designs in their rugs and this is a perfect example. Heriz rugs, like most other tribal rugs, are made of a lower quality and are meant more as utility rugs rather than showpieces. The high end Tabriz rugs are designed to be showcases and are always made of the finest quality and to have this Heriz design added to a good quality Tabriz rug is truly unique. Many of my clients like them due to the fact that they also look similar to the native American rugs that are offered here and work well with a south-western decor. Like all of my Tabriz rugs, this Tabriz rug is made of very fine Kurkwool and there are plenty of silk highlights throughout the whole rug. It is in flawless condition and if it was just a bit smaller, I could have sold it many times.
